Why everyone is coming back to Fortnite (and you should too)

Fortnite seems to have caught a second wind with Chapter 3. Many notable content creators like Ninja, CouRage, Dr Disrespect, and Tfue are constantly streaming the game, and they appreciate the recent updates provided by Epic Games.

Since Fortnite has become one of the biggest games in the world, the internet has left no opportunity to describe it as boring, dead and otherwise. However, the numbers tell a different story. It is one of the most watched games on Twitch and YouTube at the moment, which is the reason behind its contemporary success.

Fortnite gained thousands of new players at the end of Chapter Two

Chapter 2 Season 5, which was released in December 2020, was one of the worst seasons ever. Bounty hunters from many worlds such as Star Wars, Halo and the Predator have arrived on the island to rescue the Loopers.

Subsequent seasons did noticeably better as the game progressed towards the end of Chapter 2. The story became more interesting, and the community took new content into account. Live events such as Ariana Grande’s Rift Tour set high standards in terms of quality, and even the crossovers were widely praised.

So Ariana’s cracked round got me a bit boring (4 real like 10/10 got a direct hit from serotonin) https://t.co/JOM6NB3Vp0

Added skins for Rick and Morty, Naruto and Dr. Strange, Spider-Man and Arcane Jinx to the Battle Pass and Item Shop. Naturally, this helped the developers reach a whole new audience.

The Naruto X Fortnite teaser will surpass the Chapter 2 tweet in terms of likes within 1-2 hours, making this tweet the second most liked tweet ever posted by Fortnite (AFAIK). For big things to come. https://t.co/39NtqsmfJ7

Moreover, Dwayne Johnson, who is arguably one of the most popular people in the world, turns out to be the voice and face of the Enterprise, the protagonist of the story of chapter two and chapter three.

It’s time to release the enterprise! You’re standing in the way..it’s your funeral. Play as The Foundation NOW. Tweet embed ~ and https://t.co/vws81xbdd2

Thus, although the crossovers have been a matter of contention among some players, it has undoubtedly gained a lot of new players.

Fortnite is no longer sweaty, thanks to Zero Build

The above factors have laid the foundation of Fortnite for the second time as the best Battle Royale game. It was the real game-changer of Chapter 3, which was based on a new map with fan-favorite elements like Columbo, different terrain, leaning towers, and more.

Updates during Chapter 3 are loaded with content. From map changes to new weapons like the MK Seven and Spider-Man’s Mtyhic Web-shooter, the developers have made sure Loopers always have something new to look forward to.

Splash and pray identification information has always been a concern for some players, but there is no denying the fact that the gameplay looks a lot better with new features like Slide, Tactical Sprint, Tactical Overshield, Parkour, and Mantle.

This was the coolest looking win I’ve ever had in Fortnite. https://t.co/n7GdUx3fzS

One of the biggest reasons that held back Fortnite’s growth during Chapter 2 was the community itself. The skill gap between veterans and new players was enormous due to mechanisms such as building and editing. It was impossible for a beginner to adapt to the meta without being trampled by someone with more building experience.

Bro Fortnite takes the building and Tfue and Cloakzy return to win a $100,000 tournament like 2018 again. wtf is life (also shout out to Triple Scoped)

With the introduction of Zero Build mode, players can take on like-minded opponents. They no longer have to be good at building to enjoy the game. This explains why Dr Disrespect, who has always been one of Fortnite’s biggest critics, plays it so tirelessly in Chapter 3 of Season 2.

Likewise, creators who can’t try out meme strategies in sweaty lobbies can switch to Zero Build mode and have fun there. Zero Build tournaments have been just as great, loved by the likes of Tfue and Nick Eh 30.

In general, everyone is returning to Fortnite because it now meets the requirements of each player faction. It’s safe to assume that Epic Games’ Epic Games battle title will reach new heights with consistent updates and map changes.
