Chapter 3 of Season 3 introduced an abundance of different points of interest in Fortnite. While each important point is interesting in its own way, one such point that stands out clearly is the Reality Tree, which quickly became the season’s most popular point of interest. The visually enjoyable hot drop zone is filled with many interactive items and secrets.
Since introducing the Fortnite Week Zero Challenges, Reality Tree has become a bustling site for players looking to complete multiple missions. In fact, one of the challenges of the week is planting or summoning reality bushes using reality seeds, which can be found near this point of interest. While many may have already completed this challenge, Reality Seed is still evolving into something better, every single day.
The developers have always strived to make playing Fortnite an immersive experience. After this legacy, they added an amazing feature that clearly speaks volumes about their dedication towards the game and an enjoyable experience for players to enjoy.
Each seedling reacts differently in different biomes across Fortnite
For those unfamiliar with the seed of reality and the traditions that surround it, here is a summary. In a newly spawned biome called Reality Falls, there are Reality Pods that spawn randomly near the Reality Tree, a newly added POI in Fortnite. These realistic pods contain realistic seeds that can be obtained by breaking one of these pods. When broken, the seeds are scattered throughout the pod.
Once players have collected the seeds, they can then plant realistic seedlings in their desired location. The Reality Sapling plant is then assigned to the player, and it remains the same, no matter how many matches the players participate in. And with time, Reality Saplings begins to bear fruit. Players can now remove plants and then claim fruit loot. As time progresses, the rarity of loot will develop and you will finally reach the legendary level. However, there is a cooling period before weeds can be weeded again.
It was all fun and games until players started noticing something. When players get rid of plants around the sapling bearing legendary fruits, the loot they get contains only one type of weapon. Now, players have planted seedlings all over the island. The results looked the same every time. Although the weapons will vary in terms of location, the loot collected has always been the same.
It was then that players realized that the location where they planted the seedling plays a pivotal role in the type of weapon the fruit will carry. This was only the case when a sapling would evolve into a legendary sapling. It was later revealed that when players sow seeds across different biomes, the loot dropped would be different.
If Fortnite players plant seedlings in Grassland, the legendary swag will consist of Hammer Assault Rifle only, with the same rule applying to the desert as well. In desert biomes, the fruit bears the legendary Stinger SMG. In mountain biomes, players will get loot from Legendary Shooting Rifle (DMR). In Reality Bloom, the fruits will carry the legendary double-shot rifle.
All this indicates the dedication of the game developers to give players an immersive experience. Synonymous with actual plants that grow differently in different geographies, this feature brings a touch of the real world into the game. It should also be noted that the developers are pushing the newly introduced weapons with these fruits that drop loot. All of these weapons were only released in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.
