sniper elite 5
Initial release date: May 26, 2022
Developed by: Rebellion Developments
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Series S, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows

Sniper Elite 5 is the latest release from Rebellion Games studios and it drew me into the Metal Gear/Hitman style of gameplay. Every aspect of this game screams action adventure right from the start. I’ve also been diving into multiplayer mode, and this mode ranges from Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All, Axis Invasion and more! If you have an Xbox Game Pass, you definitely need to download it for free now!

dead space
Initial release date: October 14, 2008
Developer: Visceral Games
Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows

With the next version of Dead Space being a remake of the first game, I had to go back and play the original. The game is available for free via Xbox GamePass / Ea Play as well as Dead Space 2 and 3. I was lucky and got an amazing new PC and was playing it through PC GamePass and the game looks amazing. This did nothing but make me excited for what was to come from the upcoming reboot.

Apex Legends™ News & Updates - Official EA Site

Apex Legends
Initial release date: February 4, 2019
Developer: Respawn Entertainment & Panic Button Games
Platform: Playstation 4, Playstation 5 (next-gen upgrade available), Xbox One, Xbox S/X (next-gen update available), Windows PC, Nintendo Switch

Apex Legends is a free-to-play Battle Royale game where players choose from several legends, all with different abilities to help throughout the game, and try to be the last team standing. Players can unlock all legends and a large variety of cosmetic items with currency earned in the game. Apex Legends is currently in its 13th season, with the release of the new Legend Newcastle, and there are only a few weeks left, so it’s the perfect time to get down and see if you enjoy it.

Released only a few weeks ago for those without access to a console or PC, Apex Legends Mobile offers players a very similar experience within the lobbies available only to mobile players.

flipper house
Initial release date: May 17, 2018
Developer: Frozen District, Empyrean & Ultimate Games
Platform: Windows PC, MAC, Playstation 4 & 5, Xbox One & X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, Linux

House Flipper, the player, follows you as you start a home renovation business. You can choose to take on smaller jobs like decorating certain rooms in people’s homes, or you can choose to buy a home to completely renovate it, and then sell it. Although House Flipper is available on many platforms, I don’t recommend it unless you have access to a PC or MAC that can play it.

Although the basic mechanics are the same, it was a game designed for a PC or laptop, many activities are difficult to complete on other platforms, and not all platforms have the same access to DLC.

If you can get it on PC or MAC, it will be a lot of fun if you’re a fan of designing and revamping in other games like The Sims, Animal Crossing, etc., and find myself drowning hours in he-she.

Third Crusade Kings
Initial release date: September 1, 2020
Developer: Paradox Development Studio, Lab42
Platform: Windows PC, MAC, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5, Linux, Macintosh operating systems

Crusader Kings III is a strategy game based on several different historical periods. Players can create their own king, or start with a pre-made king, and start anywhere around the world to slowly grow their kingdom. The game is highly customizable and can be made as challenging or smooth as the player wants.

While there are limitations to this for online play or where trophies are awarded, single player play can see the player customizing almost all aspects of the gameplay. There is no limit to the number of challenges you can set for yourself, from overturning traditional gender laws to giving your possessor the best (or worst) qualities.

You can build your kingdom by increasing your army, plotting schemes against people in your path, and arranging marriages to strengthen your dynasty, among many other ways.

Rune Factory 5 is unparalleled fun - downloaded digitally

Rune Factory 5
Initial release date: May 20, 2022
Developer: XSEED Games
Platforms: Nintendo Switch

I’ve always been fond of farming games, but the Rune Factory franchise in particular has remained among my favorites. By combining Zelda’s dungeon crawl, and even some collected Pokemon-Esque creatures, she hits all the right places. I was dying to dive into Rune Factory 5, and after forcing myself to hold off until I finished Pokemon Legends Arceus, I finally got into it. It’s still early days, but he manages to capture the normal atmosphere of Rune Factory excellently.

Star Wars The Old Republic
Initial release date: December 20, 2011
Developer: EA, Bioware
Platforms: PC

While I had stopped playing The Old Republic MMO a while ago, the latest expansion brought me back to catch up on everything I had missed. I’m still mostly playing through the initial story, but thanks to the rewards that allow you to maximize your character, I’ve finally made progress. A lot has changed in the game since its launch, and as someone who doesn’t usually like MMO games, I am happy to see how much I can enjoy the game even as a solo experience.

Horizon Zero Dawn™ Full Edition | Download and buy today - Epic Games Store

Horizon: Zero Dawn
Initial release date: February 28, 2017
Developed by: Guerilla Games
Platforms: Playstation, Xbox, PC

I’ve played this game before but only the basic story, this time I’ve been digging into each side quest and grabbing all the collectibles. I recently got a copy of the second game, so I wanted to get back into the world, it’s an attractive premise and a design aesthetic. Unique with a feel in both the fantasy and science fiction genre, I look forward to finishing and delving into Horizon II: Forbidden West.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2
Initial release date: November 17, 2017
Developed by: DICE
Platforms: Playstation, Xbox, PC

What an amazing transformation of a game, it really is one of the best Star Wars games ever. Every few months I find myself going back to it and having so much fun that, with the celebration, I was in full Star Wars hype, so I came back. Although it must be noted that playing this game can often be bittersweet, the early removal of support left a lot of wasted potential. The new characters, maps, and modes related to all the new Star Wars we’ve had since then have been great.

Fortnite is my slow game of seasonal skins and general fun. I enjoy the no-build mode. It helps my goal to become better.

lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga-release-date-reveal-alon_4nc9 | gaming avenue

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Initial release date: April 5, 2022
Developed by: Traveler’s Tales
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

This game was well worth the wait and I’ve been happy to play my way through the saga since its release. I’ve played quite a few of the older LEGO Star Wars games and the Skywalker Saga beats all of them. It’s simple, cool and very fun to play.

Kingdom Hearts III
Initial release date: January 25, 2019
Developer: Square Enix Business, Division 3
Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch

After seeing this amazing Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer, I knew I had to take another stab at Kingdom Hearts games, so I decided to start with Kingdom Hearts 3, the latest major entry in the series. So far I’ve been loving this game, it’s so much fun to be able to visit all these different Disney worlds (but I still hate Gummi’s ship).

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition
Initial release date: May 14, 2021
Developer: Bioware, Bioware Corporation
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Series S, Microsoft Windows

I know I’m years late to the Mass Effect party, but I’m finally playing my way through my first Mass Effect game in the Legendary Edition and I’m in love! Not sure how this experience compares to the original game but whatever updates they have made, I love it!
