We have all the Fortnite Island Hopper missions listed in detail below, along with details about the game modes, as well as the rewards you’ll get for completing them.
All new Fortnite Island Hopper game modes and how to play them
There are a total of six creative game modes included in the new Island Hopper playlist in Fortnite, listed below:
You can click on any of the game modes listed above or scroll down to find out more about them, but keep in mind that they’re here for a limited time – and they (along with the associated challenges) will disappear through July 6 at 10 a.m. ET. They are all accessible in their playlist which is prominently displayed when you choose your game mode, below the main Fortnite game genres.
Among them all, Island Hopper game modes represent a fairly diverse section of the game genres, which are distinguished by various fun twists and play the recognized Fortnite formula. Understanding one does not mean understanding them all, so we’ll cover them below in basic detail, so you know what to expect.
Single trigger 100 days
The PvE experience is all about “staying in the sky”, where players start with a small catalyst that can be hit to generate resources. The goal here is to keep going and eventually get to a boss battle, conjuring some kind of Fortnite-spin on Minecraft and mods like Skyblock.
parkour universe
Elaborate, slip and slide playground made of different courses that revolve around running, jumping and climbing. It’s essentially a series of obstacle courses for players to expand their parkour skills, and it’s a fun – if challenging – combat-free experience.
Blimp Wars 1000 (Ghost VS Shadow)
Blimp Wars is a massive 12v12 arena based on jumping between…well, airships, obviously, which provides an interesting backdrop to a very chaotic conflict. With everything set high in the air, falling off a ledge can be fatal and fast.
color dash
Although everyone is in cars, this is a different kind of racing – you are all in a huge arena made of colorful tiles and have to get on the right track when asked. Of course, another player can always try to get out of the car, so… watch out for that.
The ultimate murder mystery
The game of Fortnite in social opponent games like Gary’s Mod TTT, Werewolf or Of Us, Ultimate Murder Mystery has players as Hunters, Sheriffs or Innocents – and the Sheriff has to find out who the hunters are before all the innocents die. How difficult is it?
Find items: Modern Mall
Prop Hunt is a well-known gaming phenomenon, but if you’re not familiar – half of the players are disguised as creatures around the map, and must hide or blend into the environment until the match is over, all while the other players try to figure out which are coffee cups or rubber ducks. They are actually people.
Island Hopper Questions and Challenges
There are six challenges associated with the Island Hopper event, specifically one of them associated with each of the game modes mentioned above, and for completing certain objectives or tasks within them. Here is the full list:
- Collect 3000 Resources in PvE One Trigger
- Unlock 3 achievements in the world of Parkour
- Collect 50 coins or get 5 melee qualifiers in Ultimate Murder Mystery
- Use 8 Vending Machines in Blimp Wars
- Unlock 4 achievements in Color Dash
- Eliminate 3 opponents in Prop Hunt – Mall
Each of these challenges will give you 10,000 XP when completed, so playing them all will save you a good deal of way through the Battle Pass. Some of them are fairly understandable at first glance – killing 3 Prop opponents, for example – while others, like those based on “achievements”, make more sense once you enter the game, as the Parkour Universe and Color Dash are filled with numerous players. It can be completed while they are exploring.
Island Hopper Rewards
Aside from the experience – or just the fun of playing – there are six different rewards players can get by completing the above-mentioned tasks, which are listed below. It doesn’t matter which one you complete – any combination will give you said bonus, although you’ll have to beat them all to get the final prize.
- Island Hopper Quest completed: crow spray And the GG . symbol
- Completed 3 island hopper missions: Tropical Infrared Wrap And the Ravage spray
- Completed 6 Island Hopper missions: Macau Dark Wings Back Bling And the Tropic’s Beak Ax
There’s obviously a lot to gain, but bear in mind the July 6 deadline/breakout mentioned at the beginning – if you haven’t had all of these by then, you won’t.
